Little Lush Haul

Hello there, since the opening of the oxford lush store I haven't been waiting for new products to be brought out in my closest lush shop or on the online shop however, hadn't had much luck. That was until about a week or so ago when I was able to have a little visit to Bath and come across their Lush store. I was so excited walking into the store as I laid my eyes on a few new products I recognised from other peoples hauls. Of course I had to pick a couple up!

Granny Takes A Dip Bubble Bar

If you are a fan of lush I'm sure you would have heard of granny takes a dip in it's previous form of a bath bomb. They have now discontinued the bath bomb and have transformed it into a bubble bar. The smell is so far as I'm aware pretty much the same, a very distinct smell. The colours however, are much more vibrant than the bath bomb but can end up leaving a brownish colour if all mixed at the same time.

The Experimenter Bath Bomb

This bath bomb first caught my eye because of the peculiar shape and vast colours. I must admit I'm not the biggest fan of the smell, which lush describe as a comforting vanilla scent but it isn't too bad and I wanted to see what would happen when I put it in a tub.

Creamy Candy Bubble Bar

This bubble bar didn't catch my attention at first but after going through many products I finally came across this and fell in love with the sweet smell. I always find myself reaching for the sweeter smelling products in lush, which would explain why The Comforter is one of my favourites, however, I think this one may become a competitor and at only £2.75 it's also a right bargain!

That is what I picked up and I must say I'm really happy with them all. They now have many more on their online store so I know I will definitely be spending a lot when I get paid next.

Birthday Haul

A couple of days ago now I turned 20. I was not the happiest for turning twenty as it means I'm no longer a teenager and am slowly making my way to 40, yes I still have a whole twenty years to go till I hit that milestone but still, it's sad times. I don't really tend to celebrate my birthdays too much anymore and with it being a Monday, meaning everyone was either at work, school or uni, this birthday was no different. So I spent the day watching my niece, who is growing up way too quickly for my liking, popping into town to buy presents for my little sisters birthday, and then having a nice dinner with my grandparents, boyfriend and little sister. In all it was actually a very nice quiet day.
I also booked the whole week off from work, a bit over the top I know, but I fancied a break and therefore will be spending the next couple of days with friends and family to celebrate my birthday and just 'chill'.

So, you may or may not want to see what I got for my birthday, well I am going to show you anyway as I myself enjoy seeing/reading about what people get for birthdays/buy and therefore want to share my own.

Firstly my little sister got me some pug stationary which I think is absolutely adorable. Both her and I have a slight obsession with pugs so these were just the perfect little gift!

I am a sucker for anything that smells nice, candles, in-cents, bath products, absolutely anything and everything and therefore I was over the moon when I got these next couple of gifts.

This reed diffuser looks lovely and smells lovely too, vanilla is a scent you can never go wrong with. Now Yankee Candles are my all time favourite and so is the colour yellow so I love this Vanilla Cupcake candle. I am not a big fan of cakes except from chocolate and therefore usually don't have a birthday cake, therefore my boyfriend got me this candle instead of an actual cake which is so cute!

Next I got just a couple of products from lush. I got two bath bombs, Honey Bee and Fluffy egg which both smell so amazing. I also got a bubble bar called The Comforter,which also smells amazing and is such pretty colours! Now the last gift I got from lush was a shampoo bar. I am unsure of the name of it but it is one of the nicest smelling things ever! I am not the greatest at describing smells but this bar to me smells like honey, mixed with a milky, vanilla smell. What ever the smell is supposed to be, it is just amazing and leaves my hair smell just as great! The tin you can get to keep it in is so cute and convenient too!

I am not the biggest fan of hot drinks, I'll drink them now and again but usually prefer a cold drink, however, instead of drinking out of a glass like a normal person I always like drinking out of a mug. I don't really know why but it's just a habit I got into and so when I opened this mug I thought it was just lovely. I love all things blue and white and seaside-y and this mug will go perfectly with all my others!

These lights are just amazing and are something that I was actually going to buy myself. I just need to find a place to put them now as I already have so many! The key ring I find amazing, it looks like a real phone, lets just hope I don't break the glass on that one as well!

I have a very bad sweet tooth, I work in a sweet and ice cream shop so what would you expect? Maltesers and Lindt chocolate are two of my all time favourite and it's always nice to try some american candy. The red vines are delicious and I haven't tried the Kool-Aid yet but I'm very excited too!

That's pretty much everything I got for my birthday, I mostly got money which will hopefully be going on getting a new laptop and getting the sims 4, the new get to work expansion pack looks amazing!!!

Lush | Seanik Shampoo Bar

I came across Lush shampoo bars a couple of years ago now and instantly fell in love with one in particular, seanik. I am a big fan of beaches and the feeling of being by the sea at summer, and this shampoo just brings all them feelings into one little bar.

The bar contains seaweed and sea salt, which makes it smell literally like the sea, however, it also has lemon in it which makes it more refreshing. Now the main reason why I love this shampoo is the smell but it has other qualities that make it great as well. My hair is naturally fairly curly and this shampoo brings my curls out a lot better. I also believe it makes my hair shinier which could be because of the lemon.

The shampoo also says that it is supposed to give volume and whilst many other people have said that it has done just that, I haven't found it to add volume to my hair but don't see that as a downside.

Although the shampoo is very little it lasts for a very long time and the size comes in handy if you wanted to take it away on holiday.

Soap & Glory | Favourites

Soap and glory have been a favourite of mine since I got one of their famous christmas gift sets, way back around 5 years ago. Since then I have been building up my collection, always trying their newest products, the different smells and even their make up range. Today I am going to show you some of my top products of theirs.

Soap & glory's 'The Righteous Butter' has been a favourite of mine from the get go. I am a big fan of soap and glory's original pink fragrance, it's so light and in a good way, plain. The righteous butter is easy enough to use after getting out the bath or just before getting ready. I have tried many different body butters but I always end up coming back to this one.

'Hand Food' is another classic favourite of mine. I will admit first of all I didn't really intend to use this, but ended up getting many bottles for christmas and therefore wanted to get through them. However, now I carry a miniature bottle of this everywhere I go. Working in an ice cream parlour my hands get wet a lot and so I often like to take this to work to keep my hands soft and also smelling good. Hand food has the same original pink fragrance which is a bonus.

'Whipped Clean' is the newest member of my Soap & Glory favourites collection. I am in love with the smell of this, it literally does smell like whipped cream, however, I can see that that smell may not be for everyone. I haven't used this product as much as all my other favourites, but it is definitely worth a buy.

Now 'Rich & Foamous' is my absolute favourite shower and bath body wash. It is amazing! I will admit I came across this product after watching a youtuber talk about it and knew I wanted to try it because the smell sounded so different from all their other products. The fragrance contains almond, honey and oats which may sound peculiar but it makes such a lovely smell. I much prefer this fragrance to the sweet 'sugar crush' smell, which I find a bit too overpowering. I also think the smell of this product is appealing to both female and males, although the packaging may not be so appealing to the males.
