Ebay Bargains | Triangl Bikini Copy

Hello everyone I hope you are having a lovely Friday and are looking forward to your weekend. I work weekends which means tomorrow is like a Monday for me. However, I am very lucky I enjoy my job and therefore am not dreading it!

In my last blogpost I mentioned that I had purchased a bikini off Ebay and was anxiously waiting for it to arrive. Now usually I don't buy items off of Ebay because I'm very weary. I've seen too many pictures of items turning out completely different, and not very appealing. However, the other day I decided to test it out and brought a copy of a triangl bikini. For only £8 (including postage) I wasn't expecting much but I was slightly surprised.

The bikini overall looks nice. I'm not going to lie, it does look and feel cheaper, but only to the same quality as if you brought it off the high street. It looks a lot like a Triangl bikini but comes with mesh over the pink and white bits, something that I'm not too sure whether a real one has or not. The overall look of the bikini is great, it's just when I put it on is when there's a problem.

On the site it said to pick a size up than what you really are as the bikinis sizes are a bit smaller. I am usually a size 8 and therefore when picking my size I picked a medium, which was said to be a size 8-10. I tried on the bottoms and they fitted nice and snug, not too tight and not loose, however, I couldn't say the same for the top.

The top half of the bikini felt like it was about two sizes bigger than the bottom half. The cup size was alright but the band was very loose and even with the clasp on the back done up felt like it could come undone fairly easily. This did disappoint me a little bit, as up until this point the bikini was a real bargain for it's price and I didn't want to have to send it back.

The bikini came with two straps that you could attach, so I decided to try and use these to tie around my neck to keep it a bit tighter. This worked to some extent but still felt a little bit loose.

I'm not sure if I would be able to wear this bikini at a waterpark or somewhere where I am moving around a lot but would still work just lazing around. Even though the sizes are not perfect for me I still think this bikini was a real bargain and can't wait to wear it.

Have you ever tried buying something off of Ebay? And was to your liking?
Thank you again for reading!

  2. Ahh thanks for this post I've been considering buying a triangl style bikini off eBay but like you I was a bit wary! Glad the quality seems ok but shame about the sizing :( it's always such a risk buying clothing from eBay, it can be really hit or miss x

    1. It really is a risk but if you do a bit of research you can find some great ones. Unfortunately I didn't for this one but will definitely look into getting another with a bit of research.

  3. I love finding bargains on ebay, and the triangl bikinis are so lush I probably would have had to purchase too! It's a shame the top was too big but maybe as you say just don't wear it to a water park and keep it for pool lounging/garden sunbathing :)

  5. I love a bit of eBay shopping, but I must admit last year I made the splash on a Triangl bikini... and I must say its totally worth it if you intend on going to a waterpark, it just doesnt budge at all! Your copy sure is pretty though :D

  6. I've not actually bought anything off eBay after losing a bidding war, but I really need to if you can find bargains like this - the bikini is so pretty! It is a shame that the top doesn't fit, maybe you could try sewing it near the fastening? Either way it'll look gorgeous if you're just lounging about sunbathing :) x

  9. I actually buy quite a few bits off of eBay and have never really had a problem. This is such a good dupe for the Triangl ones, it's such a shame that the top is too big!
