My First Graze Box

For many years now I have seen the graze box advertised on Tv and nearly been sucked into the whole 'first box free' deal. However, after thinking about it I would always put it off, as I get scared with cancelling the subscription if I don't like it. That was until just last week.

For the past few weeks I've been trying to make my diet a lot healthier. I think it was safe to say that I had become addicted to chocolate and had to have at least one bar a day, which definitely is not good for you. So within the recent weeks I've been swapping the chocolate for fruit and then when I saw the advertisement for Graze again I thought to myself, why not? I signed up instantly and with the television discount got my first box free!

Signing up for the account was pretty easy and straight forward. You put in your details and then it's all done. Of course, even though the first box is free you still have to put in your bank details which can worry some people. What if they take money out of my bank without telling me? Well that's simple, they won't. When you are signing up they say you can cancel anytime and that they tell you when your next boxes are coming so you are warned in advance when money will be coming out. I think this is helpful and makes the company more trustworthy.

Now the next thing I did was pick what I wanted in my box. You don't straight out get to pick what you want but you get a list of different snacks you can choose from and you get an array of chooses on whether or not you want that item. You can choose from bin it, try it, like it, love it or send it soon (which means they'll try and send it in your next box) I really enjoyed this method as you get to see what treats they have and can make sure you never get some if you don't like the sound of them or are allergic. I also liked it because you get a sense of what you will have in your box whilst keeping an element of surprise.

The package came just a few days later. I was so excited and loved the look of the box. When I opened it up I was pleasantly surprised with the chooses they'd given me which were tandoori jerky with pomegranate chutney, graze's chocolate orange, korai chutney with baked curry bites and lemon curd flapjack. I also found that I had been given two £5 vouchers for my friends which I think was a nice touch and a great bit of promoting on their behalf.

Now lets get on to the snacks

Tandoori Jerky with Pomegranate Chutney

This was the first snack that I tried. I had always wanted to try jerky but for some reason never had and so when I saw this I was very excited. The jerky was very nice however I believe it was a bit stringy for me (I don't know if it's supposed to be like) but I still thought it tasted nice and very flavouring. The pomegranate chutney was just as nice. It was the right sweetness to mix well with the jerky. I enjoyed this snack however couldn't eat too much of it and had to give the rest to my boyfriend.

Graze's Chocolate Orange

This snack says it's new on the box and so I'm glad I got to try it straight away. This was definitely my favourite snack out of them all, maybe because I am a massive chocolate fan. It had a nice mixture of chocolate buttons, orange raisins, raisins and orange chocolate raisins. I liked the fact that when you had a combination of all the mixture at the same time it really tasted like chocolate orange. The chocolate was nice and smooth and the raisins were really juicy and, even though it sounds silly enough, they tasted fresh.

Koral Chutney and Baked Curry Bites

I think this was probably my least favourite snack, maybe because it went so quick. When I first saw these I thought they looked really interesting but it turned out that they were just rice crackers with chutney. However, even though I say that they were still very nice. The crackers had a hint of spice to it that blended well with the spiced tomato chutney. Again, I enjoyed these I just think there wasn't enough there.

Lemon Curd Flapjacks

This was another snack that had new written across it, I must have been very lucky to get two new products! Again I really enjoyed this snack. I liked the idea of lemon curd as I used to always have that in my sandwiches at primary school and I can tell you now the taste is strong and brings up all them memories. The flapjack is nice and chewy and there is three little bars so there is plenty.

That is all on my graze box and overall I was actually very pleased with it. I am not completely sure whether I want to carry on getting the boxes so I have had a 2 month 'holiday' from it until I decided completely but I have a feeling I will be getting it again, especially with the new breakfast and chocolate boxes.

Anyway that's all for this post but have you tried graze before? which box and snacks are your favourite? Thanks for reading and I should have another post out within the next few days.

Jessie
